Lahore: (April 29, 2020) The ruling coalition party has expressed concern over reports of inclusion of Qadianis in the minority commission. The Chaudhry brothers say that we and our party are completely disassociated from any such proposal which is unconstitutional.


 Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that it is incomprehensible to open a Pandora's box of Qadianism in the current critical situation. Meanwhile, Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said that Qadianis recognize themselves as a non-Muslim minority and do not abide by the Constitution of Pakistan.
Federal Minister for Housing Tariq Bashir Cheema said that broad consultation was needed before any such proposal could be made.
Meanwhile, Provincial Minister for Minerals Hafiz Ammar Yasir has said that discussing this sensitive issue in a hurry and especially in the current situation is raising many questions.
